I am an abstract expressionist landscape painter, living rurally on the edge of the Mendips, I like to think my style is expressive and immediate, drawing on years of observing. I love the world around me and landscapes are my absolute passion. Through walking, surfing and horse riding I enjoy connecting with the rural seascapes and landscapes of the UK, whether painting ‘en plain air’, or back in the studio, I pull on all my senses to express an emotional reaction to the world around us:).

Biography
Having trained as a three dimensional artist, with a BA(Hons) in ceramics from Bristol, my passion for painting has been nurtured through my teaching career. For the past 25 years I have taught fine art and I am currently Head of Faculty for the Visual Arts in a large secondary school in Bristol (PCGE). With lower school teaching I really have become a very well rounded artist with interests across all fine art disciplines but my desire to paint really took off within my teaching of A-Level Fine Art, where I enjoy helping students work on larger scale canvas’.
It is now time to focus more on my own work and I have enjoyed exhibiting my work in galleries this last year.
